Eight councils across the Cauvery delta and the western hills.
A schematic, not a boundary map: each council is drawn at the town it is named for, at its approximate position, and sized by its pastorates. The Diocesan office’s own map is being requested.

From the shore to the hills
Over the decades, the Diocese expanded its ministry across a broad geographical region encompassing Tiruchirappalli, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur, Nagapattinam and Mayiladuthurai, together with portions of Karur, Perambalur, Ariyalur, Pudukkottai, Cuddalore, Tiruppur and Coimbatore, and parts of the Union Territory of Puducherry, including Karaikal.
