The year in the ministry
The Men’s Fellowship Committee seeks to strengthen Christian fellowship among men across the Diocese through prayer, spiritual formation, leadership development, community engagement, and service-oriented ministry. It provides opportunities for men to grow in faith, deepen their fellowship, and participate meaningfully in the life and mission of the Church.
District and congregational fellowships are encouraged to strengthen Christian fellowship through prayer gatherings, fasting prayers, evangelistic activities, and regular visits to hospitals and people in need. Particular emphasis is placed on intergenerational fellowship, with the proposed establishment of Senior Citizens’ Clubs in congregations to provide meaningful opportunities for experienced members to share their wisdom, offer guidance, and participate actively in fellowship and ministry.
Medical outreach and compassionate care form an important part of the Fellowship’s community engagement. A special medical camp organised through the Mayiladuthurai congregation, in collaboration with the local healthcare ministry, benefited around 50 participants. A major Diocesan Men’s Fellowship gathering held on 14 March 2026 at Bishop Heber College brought together nearly 750 participants for a day of worship, fellowship, inspiration, and spiritual renewal.
The Committee and its local fellowships also respond to wider community needs by extending assistance towards educational and infrastructure-related initiatives, reflecting a commitment to service that reaches beyond the immediate life of the Church. Training and capacity-building initiatives have also been undertaken to equip men for evangelism, leadership, ministry, and more effective engagement with their congregations and communities.
District fellowships across Annamalai, Udumalai, Dharapuram, Tiruchirappalli, Karur, Perambalur, Thanjavur, and other areas continue to organise local programmes, prayer initiatives, outreach activities, and fellowship gatherings according to their respective contexts and needs.
Through these diverse initiatives, the Men’s Fellowship seeks to nurture spiritually mature, compassionate, and responsible Christian men who are willing to contribute their time, experience, gifts, and resources to the Church and society.
